The Lionesses

This year has been very exciting as I’ve been working with The Lionesses.  One of my friends Frances Prescott recommended me as she had been doing their make up. Frances and I work together a lot doing different jobs and weddings and we get on really well together so it was great working with her on these jobs as we really have fun together.

The Lionesses are The England Ladies football team and 2.4m people tuned in to watch them play live during the World Cup in 2015, with the hashtag trending globally as they played – even more are watching them play in The Euros 2017 on Channel 4.

I first worked with them doing their Unleash Fierce Campaign ,we turned them from female footballers into Lionesses.I had to create hairstyles for them that gave them a strong positive image as a sportsperson but also something fashionable too. Frances made their skin look glowing, dewy and flawless and Ranald MacKechnie did these incredible photos below.

We also worked them on their Nike shoot, here is the photo Izzy Christiansen posted on her Instagram . Think it got a few likes!!!

The girls all really loved their hair and make up so they asked us to do their hair and make up for the FA awards.  It was a very high profile event at The Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane and all the paparazzi were outside waiting for all the football stars to arrive.

Here are the updos I did for Steph Houghton MBE, Izzy Christiansen, Georgia Stanway and Lucy Bronze who won Sportswoman of the the Year.

I then got asked to do a shoot for Channel 4 to help promote the Euros , you may have seen the girls between the advert slots promoting matches.  Here is the behind the scenes coverage by The Daily Mail

And here is the billboard that we did. Photos were shot by Julia Fullerton Batten.

I also noticed Channel 4 are using the photo as their cover photo on their twitter page.

We also worked with them on the Dream Big Princess Campaign for Disney. Disney’s new “Dream Big, Princess” campaign, which launched this week, will bring great stories to inspire girls around the world to realize their full potential and dream big. These photos were shot by Scarlet Page I really love them I think they look great. Here is the coverage in The Daily Mail .

The Lionesses are now through to the semi final of the Euros so we are giving them a huge salute and wishing them the best of luck for the rest of the tournament.

I’ve had a great time doing these jobs and I have to say the girls are all really lovely and very very easy to work with!

Go Girls – we are all behind you!
