Aurelia Hand cream

One of the things I’ve most enjoyed about my self care and product discovery journey is, how it resonates with my clients too. Every time a client visits for an appointment, they excitedly report back on a new product or treatment they have discovered. They say that in hairdressing you attract a like minded clientele and that is certainly evident in my own business. My client, Claire, told me about Aurelia; an exciting brand and one that fits perfectly on my blog.

I had never heard of pro-biotic skin care; although I take pro- biotic, I was yet to understand the concept of using it externally .

Aurelia products are made in the UK, are BioOrganic, ehtically sourced, cruelty free and free from parabens, sulphates and mineral oils.

Initially, I was uncertain about using a live bacteria on my skin; as it happens, Aurelia don’t use live bacteria. Aurelia use a more advanced method: a non-live pro biotic in the form of glycoprotein, combined with milk peptide, that protects and restores the skin. The product works by calming the immune triggers in your skin that have been overstimulated by pollution and stress.

You can watch their demonstration video here.

This Hand Cream is very rich in texture but absorbs into the skin beautifully, leaving moisturised, non-greasy hands. I have been going to bed with it on and wearing a pair of white cotton gloves – I wake up in the morning with new hands.

Ingredients include Sea Daffodil, Cassia Senna, Boabab, Kigelia Africans and essential oils Vetiver, Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Patchouli. Naturally, it smells delicious too.

In a handy 15ml bottle, it is the perfect size for your handbag. Previously, I have found that other hand creams have flip tops which open easily in your bag (leaving a gooey mess in their wake!), this product addresses that issue with a handy screw top.

If you would like to try it , it retails at £30 and you can purchase it here.

Please comment below if you have tried it; let me know what you think.
